World War II begins

While America would stay out of WWII for two more years, it had begun. There would be minimal specific references in cartoons for the rest of the year, but that wouldn't last. Caricature of the famous in cartoons would shift strongly from the celebrity caricature seen in the Autograph Hound to a consistent political figure object set. Again, that will only happen after the end of '39.
